How Digital Puja Works
PujaZen is designed to help you perform puja calmly and confidently, with guided structure, clear pacing, and practical support from start to finish.
Getting Started
PujaZen is designed to help you perform puja calmly and confidently, even if you haven’t done one in a while. You’ll be guided step by step with clear audio prompts, visual cues, and gentle pacing.
Most pujas take between 20–45 minutes. You can pause, resume, or repeat steps anytime — nothing needs to be perfect.
Digital vs Live Puja
| Aspect | Digital Puja | Live Puja |
|---|---|---|
| Guidance | Self-guided with step-by-step audio and visual cues | Priest-led in real time |
| Timing | Anytime, at your own pace | Scheduled date and time |
| Interaction | Minimal, focused on personal practice | Interactive with priest guidance |
| Setup help | On-screen instructions and camera cues | Priest advises before and during puja |
| Cost | $ | $$$ - Depends on the priest and location, seasonality, time. Quite often you end up also paying for mileage, end up giving some dakshina too. |
| Availability | Anytime 24x7 | Depends on the priest availability, weather. |
| Best for | Learning, daily practice, flexibility | Special occasions and traditional ceremonies |
Technical Readiness & Camera Setup
Before purchase, PujaZen runs a quick compatibility check to ensure your device is ready. This verifies camera access, gesture tracking, performance, and audio playback.
Camera-based guidance is optional. If your environment or device struggles, you can continue by manually resuming steps.
Privacy & Trust
- • Camera guidance is used only to help align steps. No video is recorded or stored.
- • Audio is playback-only. PujaZen does not record microphone input.
- • Sankalpa details are stored within your PujaZen account and are used only to support your experience and related operational needs.
- • For live pujas, your name, address, and phone number are shared only with the assigned priest for that puja and hidden afterward.
How the Digital Puja Experience Works
A digital puja on PujaZen is designed to feel calm, structured, and unhurried — guiding you from intention to completion, one step at a time.
1. Sankalpa & Personal Details
PujaZen collects your sankalpa (intention) — along with names, place, and purpose — to personalize chants and guidance.
2. Preparation & Pre-Work
We help you get ready: shopping list, prep items (like akshantalu), arrange flowers, light the diya, and set aside prasad/naivedyam.
3. Puja Mandap / Altar Setup
Visual cues and instructions help you place key items before the ritual begins.
4. The Puja Ritual
PujaZen guides mantras, offerings, and actions step-by-step, with progress checks so you don’t miss anything.
5. Closing & Completion
We conclude with final offerings, aarti, and closing steps — and confirm completion gently.
The puja waits for you — never the other way around.
Personalization & Sankalpa
Your sankalpa sets the intention for the puja. PujaZen helps you personalize names, place, and purpose, and supports multiple languages and pronunciations.
Gifting & Group Participation
You can gift a puja to family or friends. Recipients receive a link to accept and schedule or begin their puja. Family members can participate together, without pressure or strict rules.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Camera permission prompt doesn’t show up+−
Check browser permissions (Site settings → Camera). If camera is blocked, PujaZen falls back to manual progression.
Audio is playing but I don’t hear anything+−
Verify your device volume, mute switch, and output device selection (Bluetooth/headphones). Reload once after changing output.
The puja pauses and I’m not sure why+−
Some steps wait for a simple action or confirmation. If you prefer, you can continue manually and keep camera guidance optional.
Compatibility check fails on my device+−
Try a different browser (Chrome is usually best), close other heavy tabs, and reload. If it still fails, PujaZen remains usable without camera guidance.
